1970 Ford Mustang Drag Car - Dyno Don Nicholson (MIC) 1/18
![]() In 1977, two drag racing legends, Don Nicholson, "Dyno Don", and Bob Glidden, a soon to become National Champion driver, took advantage of an NHRA cubic-inch-to-weight -ratio and wheelbase break to run these two Mustangs. In doing so they made a shambles out of NHRA Pro Stock Eliminator before rule changes were made to outlaw them from competition. Don finished 1st at the US Nationals, Spring Nationals and Gator Nationals and was runner up at the World Finals and Winternationals. Bob Glidden won the World Finals, the Fall Nationals, Grand Nationals and the Cajun Nationals and was runner up at the US Nationals. This performance was called total domination.
