The 1958 Fury was Plymouth's factory hot rod of its day. The optional 350 cubic inch engine produced 305 hp when fitted with its dual four-barrel carburetors. Even though the car weighed almost 4,000 pounds, it was considered one of the best cornering cars of its time. The new dual headlights and large rear fins gave the Fury its distinctive look. However, the Fury's true claim to fame was when it was featured in the 1983 Columbia Pictures film "Christine" about a possessed automobile, written by Steven King.
