Monkee Mobile - "The Monkees" (Ertl) 1/18
![]() It vaguely resembled a GTO, but what started out as a "goat" emerged as pure "Monkee!" When customizer Dean Jeffries was contracted to build a car for a TV show about a rock group and it's zany misadventures, he knew just what he needed. While the front grille sported a GTO emblem, Jeffries' extensive modifications included a tall split windshield, an extra row of seats where the rear deck was, a T-bucket convertible top, large fender flares and exaggerated taillamps. The engine sported a 6-71 supercharger, although the blower was a dummy, as the car had too much power and was difficult to drive with the original blower!
American Muscle sure didn’t “monkey around” when crafting this 1:18 scale showstopper for its Entertainment Series! A fully plated replica engine peers through the flip-forward hood, the top is removable, and you can fold the four seatbacks. A plated center console and tach highlight the interior, and plated horns emerge from the front wheel wells. Officially licensed by Barris Kustoms. Ertl Diecast Model No. 33398 | ||
