This compact two-seater with leather emphasized on straps across the hood came to dominate the racing scene in Germany and around the world in the second half of the thirties. Most of the body work was made of aluminum thus making it a light vehicle wighing only 830kgs.
The front had two elongated "Kidney Nostrils" that ran from top to bottom. The 2-litre 6-cylinder engine featured an overhead 2-valve hemi-head with three Downdraught Solex carburetors generating 80 bhp at 5000 rpm. The interiors had a beautiful three spoke steering wheel. The dashboard boasted a large diameter speedometer and tachometer. There was also a feul gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and a one shot chassis lubrication system actuated by a seperate pedal. The integrated headlamps set a trend which was to survive well into the fifties. In 1000, it has been nominated as one of the 25 finalists for Car of the Century by a world wide panel of automotive journalists.
