1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi V8 - Black (Ertl) 1/18

Product Details Temp out of stock

With the design of the 1969 Charger Daytona, Chrysler found itself redefining aerodynamics with a spoiler underneath, air relief vents above the front wheels and of course the trademark rear spoiler. These features, combined with Dodge, created the world's fastest stock car. It was even stated that anyone could hit 180 mph straight out of the showroom with the 426 Hemi under the hood! The "winged thing" may have stopped traffic, turned heads and flown down roads, but it also made a place for itself in the stock car racing circuit for which it was originally intended.

The Dodge Charger debuted in 1966 and reached its styling peak with the 1968–1970 B-body design — one of the most dramatic shapes in American automotive history. The 1969 Charger Daytona was a NASCAR homologation special with a 23-inch aerodynamic nose cone and towering rear wing, with only 503 built. The Charger's role in the Dukes of Hazzard as the 'General Lee' cemented its place in American pop culture, though collectors prize the real high-performance variants far more than their television counterpart.

This 1/18 scale replica of the 1969 Dodge Charger in Black is produced by Ertl to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle.
