The Ferrari F40 was the last Ferrari personally approved by Enzo Ferrari before his death in 1988. Built to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 used a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V8 producing 478 horsepower, with a curb weight of just 2,425 pounds due to extensive use of carbon fiber and Kevlar. It was the first production car to exceed 200 mph and remains one of the most viscerally exciting Ferraris ever built.
