The Ferrari Testarossa debuted at the 1984 Paris Motor Show with styling by Pininfarina that stopped the show. The name — Italian for 'red head' — referred to the red-painted cam covers of the 4.9-liter flat-12 engine. Its distinctive side strakes channeling air to the massive rear radiators became the defining visual element of 1980s supercar design. Miami Vice, where Sonny Crockett drove a Testarossa, cemented its cultural status.
This 1/18 scale replica of the 1984 Ferrari Testarossa is produced by Hot Wheels Elite to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Mattel Hot Wheels Elite Series Diecast Model No. P 9904 or P9904.
