The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is arguably the most recognizable automobile in American cultural history. Its combination of jet-age styling, the new fuel-injected V8 option, and perfect proportions made it an instant icon. Over 1.5 million Chevrolets were sold in 1957, and the Bel Air hardtop in particular has appeared in countless films, television shows, and artworks as the definitive symbol of 1950s American optimism.
This 1/18 scale replica of the 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air is produced by Maisto to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Maisto Diecast Model No. 36023.
