The Porsche Boxster, introduced in 1996, revived the mid-engine roadster tradition that Porsche had abandoned with the 914. The name combines 'boxer' (referring to the horizontally-opposed engine) with 'roadster.' Developed alongside the 996-generation 911, the Boxster democratized Porsche ownership and introduced a new generation to the brand. The Boxster Spyder — a lightweight, stripped-out variant — is considered by many the most driver-focused Porsche of its era.
This 1/18 scale replica of the 2005 Porsche Boxster in Black is produced by Maisto to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Maisto Diecast Model No. 31123.
