The Ford GT40 was built for one purpose: to beat Ferrari at Le Mans. After losing a bid to purchase Ferrari in 1963, Henry Ford II ordered the creation of a purpose-built racing car. The GT40 won Le Mans four consecutive times from 1966 to 1969. The 2005 Ford GT was a centennial tribute to the original, using a supercharged 5.4L V8 producing 550 horsepower. Both generations are considered among the most significant American sports cars ever made.
This 1/24 scale replica of the 1965 Ford Gt in Black, Silver is produced by DUB City Bigtime Muscle to collector-grade specifications. The 1/24 scale format produces a model approximately 7 inches in length — large enough to show detail clearly while compact enough to display multiples in a collection. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle.
