The Ferrari 250 series represents the pinnacle of Ferrari's classic era. The 250 GTO, produced from 1962 to 1964 in a run of just 36 units, is the most valuable automobile ever sold at auction — a 1963 example fetched $70 million in 2018. The 250 GT Berlinetta and California Spider are nearly as treasured. The 250's 3.0-liter V12 engine, designed by Gioacchino Colombo, is considered one of the great automotive powerplants.
This 1/18 scale replica of the Ferrari 250 in Red is produced by Hot Wheels to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Mattel Hot Wheels Diecast Model No. M1194.
