The Pontiac Trans Am was Pontiac's ultimate performance machine, introduced as a separate model in 1969. The 1969 Trans Am was the rarest of the first generation with only 697 produced. The second-generation 1970–1981 Trans Am is defined by the Shaker hood scoop and screaming chicken hood decal on the Special Editions. The 1977 Smokey and the Bandit car — a black and gold T/A — became one of the most instantly recognizable American cars ever built.
This 1/18 scale replica of the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am in White is produced by Ertl to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Ertl American Muscle Diecast Model No. 36673.
