The Chevrolet Camaro launched for 1967 as direct competition to the Ford Mustang. First-generation Camaros (1967–1969) are the most collected, particularly the 1969 ZL1 — a racing homologation special with an all-aluminum 427 cubic inch engine, of which only 69 were built. The COPO Camaros and Z/28 Trans Am race cars of the late 1960s defined an era of factory-built muscle car performance.
This 1/18 scale replica of the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro in Black is produced by Welly to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Welly Diecast Model No. 2556 - '68 Chevrolet SS 396.
