The enigmatic Chevrolet El Camino was a unique combination of muscle car performance and pickup truck utility. The third- generation '70 Elcamino model sported a new front end a grille with four headlights that were exclusive to the model year. When dressed with the popular SS option, the car included a black-accented grille, sport mirrors and striping, and could be powered by a choice of engines that included the hefty 454 motor. Roughly translated as "The Way" the El Camino proved to be a way for Chevy to attract a great deal of attention from muscle car enthusiasts looking for a functional car.
