Enzo Ferrari reportedly called the Jaguar E-Type 'the most beautiful car ever made' when it debuted at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. The XKE, as it was known in North America, combined stunning Pininfarina-influenced styling from Malcolm Sayer with a 3.8-liter inline-six producing 265 horsepower. Early Series 1 cars with covered headlights and flat floors are the most collectible. The V12-powered Series 3 offered power at the expense of the original's purity.
This 1/18 scale replica of the Jaguar E-Type is produced by Ertl to collector-grade specifications. At 1/18 scale — the most popular collector scale — the model measures approximately 10 inches in length and displays beautifully on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Every detail — from paint finish to badging — is reproduced from measurements taken from the original vehicle. Manufacturer reference number: Ertl Joyride Studios Diecast Model No. 33543.
