For the first time, the '64 Chevrolet Impala SS became a distinct model unto itself, available in convertible or two-door hardtop configuration only. Standard equipment mirrored the Impala, with the addition of features such as leather-grained interior and individual bucket seats. On the outside, the SS featured distinctive wider upper moulding and the SS badge on the rear fenders and deck lid.
